Surge capacity systems
FSI offers one of the world's largest ranges of heavy-duty pneumatic and structural shelters from 100-1,500 sq. ft. and larger. All FSI shelters can be interconnected in a spoke-and-hub design to create modular, scalable multiple-use facilities. FSI systems are ideal for incidents ranging from hours to days and even weeks, and when ease and speed of deployment, limited storage space and budgets are critical decision factors. FSI offers 10-, 20-, 30-, 40-, 50-, 64- and 120-person/bed facilities that (system dependent) come complete with insulated isolation shelters, privacy cross/center divider curtains, beds, lighting, sinks, toilets, decon showers, power supply/generators, air heating/cooling, PPE, cold plasma and HEPA air filtration, etc.-all contained in optional cargo trailers.

Smart clocks for time & attendance
eCore Software Inc. announces the release of the new Smart Clock feature for the ePro BioClock. ePro BioClocks are a complete biometric solution to time and attendance recording. Employees clock in via their fingerprints, decreasing the risk of employee attendance fraud. Created for eCore's Web-based Net Scheduler Pro software, ePro BioClocks now offer stand-alone capability. Reports provide information needed for payroll, and Smart Clocks can be easily configured from the Web. Users can define early/late thresholds, disallow early clock-ins and enforce certifications. Every time a fingerprint is scanned, Smart Clocks synchronize with Net Scheduler Pro to check schedule and certification status. Punch data immediately appears in Net Scheduler Pro.

Thumper meets AHA guidelines
In response to the new AHA guidelines for CPR, Michigan Instruments has released two new models of its mechanical CPR device, commonly known as the Thumper. The new models are the 1007CC, which provides continuous chest compressions, and the 1007CCV, which provides the features of the 1007CC and adds the capability of ventilation. The new models employ high-impulse chest-compression technology that's been shown to significantly improve resuscitation compared to previous Thumpers and manual CPR. Sustained use of the Thumper has been reported to revive patients to a conscious state. The Thumper is an oxygen-powered piston device that has been an adjunct to many ambulance and fire departments for over 40 years. The new 1007CC and 1007CCV models provide consistent, AHA-compliant compressions with a depth of 1½-2 inches and 50% time in compression and 50% time in relaxation for each cycle.
