The leaders of Spiritus have developed the Spiritus Cuff Inflation Syringe (SCIS) to be used in most adult intubations. The SCIS automatically inflates an endotracheal tube (ETT) cuff to an intra-cuff pressure greater than 79±9 cmH20 initially, and then to a final pressure of 25±2 cmH20, all with a single stroke of a syringe.
