Jim Morrissey, MA, EMT-P, is the disaster and terrorism preparedness coordinator for Alameda County (CA) EMS. He is also a tactical paramedic for the San Francisco FBI SWAT team and a medical intelligence officer for the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center. Morrissey has been involved in emergency medicine, rescue and tactical medical operations for over 25 years. He is the founder of the Tactical Medical Association of California (TMAC) and teaches tactical and emergency medicine both locally and nationally. Morrissey authored the Field Guide of Wilderness Medicine and Rescue and has published several articles on wilderness medicine, tactical medicine and other emergency medical care topics. He holds a master's degree in homeland security from the Naval Postgraduate School located in Monterey, CA.
