Judith Simon Prager, PhD
Judith Simon Prager, Ph.D. is co-author of The Worst is Over: What To Say When Every Moment Counts, which has been called "The Bible" for crisis communication by The International Journal of Emergency Mental Health. She is co-author of Verbal First Aid: Help Your Kids Heal From Fear and Pain--and Come Out Strong (Prager/Acosta, Berkley Books 2010).
She travels the country training doctors, nurses, police, fire departments, EMTs, and other first responders in Verbal First Aid from New York University to Cedars-Sinai and UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has addressed the National Association of Police Organizations and The American College of Emergency Physicians, among others. In 2008, she traveled to China to train emergency crisis counselors after a devastating earthquake that killed 80,000 people. She is a clinical hypnotherapist in private practice in Los Angeles.
