This interactive workshop is designed to enhance realism in medical moulage and emergency simulation exercises, while providing best practice techniques to assist the learner in bridging the gap in simulated trainings. This intensive, hands-on 8 hour course will be presented in a multifarious approach, including scenario staging and techniques; accessory moulage options; wound care, reuse and storage recommendations; and time and money saving alternatives.
Participants will: Learn to use make-up and household products to create common medical conditions and odors; create soft tissue wounds and accessory moulage utilizing gels, latex and waxes; create life-like three-dimensional wounds that can be debrided and triaged for a realistic training experience; create basic, intermediate, advanced and trauma wounds, including, burns, lacerations, impaled objects and knife wounds; and learn to create basic, intermediate and advanced trauma moulage designs utilizing latex, wax, gelefects and construction materials. Your created wounds are your to keep!
