Florida Ambulance Struck by SUV, Stops in Fountain Pool
A ambulance was struck by an SUV and wound up in a fountain pool in a yard in Riverside on Friday afternoon.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --
A ambulance was struck by an SUV and wound up in a fountain pool in a yard in Riverside on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened at Post and Stockton streets about 2 p.m.
Jacksonville police said the ambulance was on a run and was broadsided by the SUV that didn't yield. Witnesses said the ambulance had its lights and sirens on when the crash happened.
One person was being transported in the ambulance to a hospital when the crash happened. That person, along with two paramedics also in the ambulance, were hospitalized in stable condition.
"This corner is bad. Stockton and Post is a bad corner," one longtime resident said.
