Tennessee Firefighters Deliver Baby at Home

A baby in Hendersonville couldn't wait to get a hospital, so firefighters made a special home delivery.

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. --

A baby in Hendersonville couldn't wait to get a hospital, so firefighters made a special home delivery. They didn't even have a chance to ask the mother whether this was her first child.

"We didn't have time to ask anything like that. She knew she was having a baby at that time," said David Frost of the Shackle Island Fire Department.

Frost and his chief said they're used to dealing with moms who are in labor, but this was the first time either of them had delivered a baby.

The rescuers checked the baby girl out and got her cleaned up. They even helped the ambulance crews get mom and baby to the hospital, where everyone's doing well.
