Students Hurt in Pittsburgh Head-on Bus Crash
A group of middle school students on a field trip was involved in a crash when a van hit their bus head-on.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. --
A group of students from Tyler Consolidated Middle School in Sistersville was involved in a crash when their bus was hit head-on by a van in West Mifflin, Pa.
The group was returning home from an end-of-the-year field trip to Kennywood Park when the crash happened.
Five students on the bus were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Two adults in the van were taken to the hospital for treatment of more serious injuries.
The other 34 students on the bus were not hurt and were taken to a nearby fire station to await alternative transportation back home.
