CLEVELAND --

A man is in the hospital Monday after being robbed overnight, but his injuries weren’t from his attacker.

Authorities said the man was robbed near Woodhill Avenue and Buckeye Road. The victim then took off running, but when he tried to jump, he fell 30 feet onto Rapid Transit tracks.

The victim had his cell phone and was able to call 911.

Cleveland firefighters had to climb into the Rapid's trench to walk him out on a stretcher. His injuries are unknown at this time.

Police have not found the suspect. Call Cleveland’s fourth district if you have any information.
