Tennessee Responder Dies After Crash
The Johnson County, Tenn. responder who was in critical condition following a Sept. 15 ambulance crash has died, sources reported Friday.

Joseph R. Barlow, 55, of Mountain City, passed away at Johnson City Medical Center, according to TriCities.com. He had been ejected from the ambulance and airlifted from the scene.
The website also reported that Barbara Buchanan, the driver of the car that caused the crash, has been released from the hospital and that no charges have been filed at this time, although the investigation is ongoing. Buchanan crossed the center line and hit the ambulance, pushing it off the road and causing it to flip over an embankment.
The incident also resulted in the death of patient Alicia McCoy, 57, at the scene, and injury to responder Kevin Colson, 32.
