Helicopter Crashes at Oregon Airport
A helicopter used to teach new pilots how to fly crashes at the Troutdale Airport.
TROUTDALE, Ore. --
A helicopter used to teach new pilots how to fly crashed at the Troutdale Airport on Wednesday.
An instructor and student pilot were on board the helicopter when it crashed onto its side, but they were not injured, said Sgt. Steve Bevens of the Troutdale Police Department.
Firefighters and police were called to the airport at 11:17 a.m.
The cause of the crash is unknown and the Port of Portland has launched an investigation.
