READING, P.A. -- May 14, 2009 -- Take a moment to honor a hard-working EMT who truly exemplifies the definition of excellence.
SafetyCare, a national leader in Personal Emergency Response Systems, is seeking nominees for the third-annual Jack and Rosemary Gulati SafetyCare Awards. The awards are given to caregivers in three categories - "Caregiver of the Year in a Facility/Institutional Environment," "Caregiver of the Year in Home Health Care" and "Emergency Medical Technician of the Year."
One award recipient in each category will receive a monetary award and a bronze statue sculpted in the shape of an eagle, symbolizing power, courage and lofty spirit.
The national award is open to professionals in the U.S. and its territories who have shown dedication to their profession, an extreme level of compassion or who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help those in need. "SafetyCare bestows this award each year to those who demonstrate the absolute best in the profession of caregiving," said Mike Bodnar, SafetyCare's General Manager. "We are looking for great examples of the type of people who do everything they can to help those who need care and their compassion."
The categories of the awards represent the professionals who work hand-in-hand with SafetyCare each day to safeguard people across the United States.
Individuals in senior housing and care facilities respond to SafetyCare's institutional nurse call systems. Home health care nurses, who care for live-at-home seniors and people with disabilities, rely on SafetyCare's Personal Emergency Response System to notify them and local first responders of a patient in-need. SafetyCare also honors an outstanding Emergency Medical Technician each year to represent the type of highly-trained and caring Certified EMTs who staff the 24-hour SafetyCare Response Center in Reading, PA.
Deadline for nominations is July 31. Winners will be honored at a special awards ceremony on Sunday, September 20 at a location yet to be determined. For more information and a nomination form, please contact Marty Steinberg at 908-789-0700 or martin@jaffecom.com.
