Four people were listed in stable condition at a local hospital after they were injured in an ambulance-involved crash in Philadelphia Thursday night, police said.
According to authorities, a private ambulance rolled over several times and crashed into another vehicle along southbound Roosevelt Boulevard and near Seventh Street in the Hunting Park section of the city.
The crash occurred on the Boulevard's express lanes, which were closed while police investigated.
Police said the ambulance was headed to Pennsauken on a non-emergency call, noting there was not a patient onboard. Two people riding in it and two others in another car were injured.
Investigators were still trying to figure out what caused the crash.
