Maryland Man Found Trapped in Crashed Car for Three Days Dies
A man who was found trapped in a crashed car off an Interstate 95 ramp died shortly after being freed on Tuesday, state police said.
WHITE MARSH, Md. (AP) -- A man who was found trapped in a crashed car off an Interstate 95 ramp died shortly after being freed on Tuesday, state police said.
Adam Moore, 42, of Baltimore, told rescuers that he had been trapped in the wreckage in a wooded area near the White Marsh interchange between I-95 and 695. for three days.
Moore was taken by ambulance to Franklin Square Hospital, where he died.
Troopers said a Maryland Transportation Authority maintenance crew spotted the crashed minivan about 2:30 p.m. when they were traveling on the ramp from the inner loop of I-695 to northbound I-95. The van had come to rest after hitting a large tree head-on. Rescuers found Moore trapped behind the steering wheel.
State police said Moore was semiconscious, but he indicated to rescue personnel that he had been there for three days.
The incident is under investigation.
