Washington Health Workers Learn from Norovirus Outbreak

Vancouver's norovirus outbreak may be dissipating, but the lessons learned in the past two weeks will linger for a while.

* Southwest Washington Medical Center: 11 cases.

* Clark County Health Department: Two cases.

Update

Previously: A norovirus outbreak killed three elderly people and sickened many other residents at the Cascade Inn retirement center in Vancouver.

What's new: The latest count of suspected cases reached 165 Tuesday, including 22 health care workers, two of whom were employees of the Clark County Health Department.

What's next: Health officials expect to get test results today that will tell them if 57 suspected cases at the Van Mall Retirement Community were, in fact, norovirus.
