N.J. EMS Captain Dies After Response
Maplewood Volunteer First Aid Squad Capt. Bruce Mandel died Monday morning after falling ill.
A longtime captain with the Maplewood Volunteer First Aid Squad died Monday morning after falling ill, according to The Maplewood Patch.
Capt. Bruce Mandel was returning after transporting a patient to St. Barnabas Hospital when he stopped at the Maplewood Fire Department because he wasn't feeling well.
He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital but died while en route at approximately 8 a.m..
Visitation for Capt. Mandel will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10:45 a.m. at Menorah Chapels, 2950 Vaux Hall Road, Vaux Hall, N.J.
Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m.
