Thief Swipes Medications from Arizona Helicopter
Burglaries of parked vehicles are a fact of life in Yuma. But stealing from a helicopter?

Burglaries of parked vehicles are a fact of life in Yuma. But stealing from a helicopter? That doesn't happen every day -- but it did Friday.
A thief swiped some medications that were stored inside one of the emergency medical services helicopters owned by Sun Care Air Ambulance, according to a Yuma Police report.
Between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., the unknown subject forcibly entered the helicopter, which was parked at Sun Western Flyers, 2095 E. 32nd St., and took miscellaneous medications, according to the report.
The thief pried open one of the doors of the helicopter to get inside. No dollar value of what was taken was listed on the report.
Sun Care, based in Yuma, has been operating since 1993 and has made more than 10,000 patient transports, according to its Web site.
The company owns 24 aircraft, including 12 licensed air ambulances and two Bell 222 helicopters. Its service range includes Yuma, Lake Havasu City, Parker, Sierra Vista and California's Imperial Valley, the Web site said.
