West Virginia EMT Killed in Ambulance, Semi Crash

EMT Mark Kinder, 26, died of injuries sustained in the collision.


A West Virginia EMT was killed Tuesday morning when an ambulance collided with a flatbed semi on an interstate.

Mark Kinder, 26, died of his injuries at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, according to WBOY.

The Jan-Care ambulance was returning to the station when it collided with a flatbed semi on I-79 in Lewis County.

The paramedic, who was driving, was injured, but has been released from the hospital.

Neither the semi driver nor his passenger was hurt.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Department is continuing the probe of the collision.
