Civilian Dead in Collision Involving D.C. Ambulance

Two Washington, D.C. EMS personnel suffered minor injuries.


A civilian was killed in a fiery four-vehicle crash involving an ambulance in Washington, D.C.

Two EMS providers in the ambulance were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries which are not believed to be serious, officials at the scene told reporters.

The SUV, driven by the victim, is believed to have clipped the ambulance and set off a crash involving many vehicles.

The SUV overturned and caught fire after the 2:30 p.m. crash at 12th and Southern Avenue in Southeast.
