COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- Two University of Maryland students are dead and a third student injured in what Prince George's County Police say was a murder/suicide.

According to police, at approximately 1:17 a.m., they received a report of a shooting at a single family home on the 8200 block of 36th Avenue in College Park, Maryland.

Police say that when they arrived on the scene, they found one of the students shot in front of the house, one student down on the street critically shot and a third student in the backyard who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, one student set fire in the basement to draw roommates to the basement. Police officials say all three exited the house and went to the front of the house. The student who allegedly set the fire then started shooting and struck one roommate. The second roommate was shot while trying to run away. Then police say that the gunman went to the back of the home and turned the gun on himself.

Police say the weapon used in the crime was recovered and that they are not searching for any more suspects
