Texting Driver Charged after Striking Texas Ambulance

The ambulance was stopped at an Amarillo intersection when it was hit.


 A Texas woman accused of texting while driving was arrested after her truck slammed into a stopped ambulance.

Melody G. Jewell, 48, was charged with driving while intoxicated after she struck an ambulance that was stopped at a light in Amarillo, according to Amarillo Globe News.

Investigating officers said she showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. They also determined she was texting when her truck hit the ambulance.
