N.J. Responder Charged With Driving Ambulance While Intoxicated
A Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad responder was arrested Wednesday night for driving an ambulance while intoxicated, reports the Hackettstown Patch Newsletter.
Police reportedly saw the ambulance drive past the location of the medical call, and then enter the complex the wrong way.
After an officer at the scene smelled alcohol, the responder refused a field sobriety test and was transported to police headquarters, the Patch reports.
The responder was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, and careless driving.
