A former employee of private ambulance service Hoosier EMS has pled guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud, reports wndu.com.
Kahley Vergon-Moyette, 28, of Monticello is one of three employees accused of defrauding Medicare of more than two million dollars. The others are Hoosier EMS owner Roy Dunn, and employee and former co-owner Anthony Bitterling, who are also charged with conspiracy, the news station reports.
Court documents filed last November reportedly show that the company submitted claims to Medicare for reimbursement of services that were never rendered.
The cases are pending in U.S. district court, and Vergon-Moyette is scheduled for sentencing in early January.
