North Jefferson County Ambulance District Improving Time-Critical Diagnosis with In Motion Technology

HIGH RIDGE, MO and VANCOUVER, BC–In Motion Technology, the leader in flexible, secure and enduring wireless systems that improve an organizations’ ability to communicate on the move, announced today that North Jefferson County Ambulance District (NJCAD), a public governmental entity serving the citizens of Northwest Jefferson County, is improving patient care by reducing time critical diagnosis (TCD) with the help of the onBoard™ Mobile Gateway.

The Gateway allows NJCAD paramedics to securely send ECG and patient data from the field to the emergency room, so doctors can make a preliminary diagnosis and direct care immediately. Heart and brain injury patients will benefit from a reduction in critical diagnosis time and NJCAD will improve patient care and outcomes.

After being dispatched, the Gateway provides crews with secure connectivity so they can complete paperwork/billing, review schedules, check emails and perform other administrative tasks. This keeps ambulances and medics on the road, increasing utilization and efficiency, and reducing response times.

In Motion Technology’s onBoard™ Mobile Gateway extends the emergency room to the field, enabling medics to provide improved pre-hospital care. The Gateway turns ambulances into wireless hotspots, providing seamless, secure connectivity to tablets, laptops, 12-Lead ECGs, scanners, printers and other devices in and around the ambulance. The onBoard™ Mobility Manager provides the ability to analyze information from each Gateway in the field via a dashboard which shows ambulance locations, and monitors vehicle diagnostics, devices and networks.
