SASKATOON, SK—Crestline Coach Ltd., a leading ambulance manufacturer and commercial bus dealer based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is pleased to announce the move to their advanced and innovative facility at 126 Wheeler St., Saskatoon, SK. This venture has included merging Crestline's four facilities in the Hudson Bay industrial area into the new 80,400 sq. ft. facility on an 8.5 acre site.
Crestline is now able to improve access to departments, double its production capacity, create operational efficiencies and reduce overall costs and lead time.
"I am very proud of the new facility that has been purpose built for our unique business needs," said Daryl Bitz, president and CEO. "Even though we have only been in the new facility for a few days, we are already seeing employees get reacquainted with each other and collaborate on projects that would not have been possible working out of four separate buildings."
"Synergy with other departments is becoming stronger and I look forward to the future," said Leon Ferguson, bus manager.
Crestline's new building includes a production and paint area, a two-story office structure with multiple meeting spaces, customer reception, a medical supply showroom, a vehicle showroom/delivery area and a large space for chassis and vehicle storage. In addition, employees benefit from electrified parking as well as large windows and an open office environment that maximizes natural light.
"It is exciting to drive to work every day to a new, large, attractive building," said John MacDonald, a 25 year Crestline employee. "Everything from the lights in the parking lot to the personal card activated entry door system is designed to keep safety, comfort, convenience and efficiency first and foremost."
"I am very excited to see our employees be able to work in a new place that is clean, spacious and better suited to help them be successful in their role," said Bitz. "It is also great to see all of our employees be able to plug their vehicles in during the cold winter days."
A grand opening is being planned for Friday, May 11, 2012. The event includes catering, a musical quartet, a tour of the facility and a brief official segment with ribbon cutting. Guests will include board members, employees, dignitaries, customers and suppliers.
