BURNABY, BC—Xantrex Technology Inc. has released its second generation Freedom HF Inverter/Charger to the North American EMS market.
The original Freedom HF series made its debut in 2008 as one of the lightest, smallest and most affordable inverters/chargers on the market. In keeping with the company's continued commitment to quality engineering, innovation and customer satisfaction, the new Freedom HF was conceived, developed and is now available with customer-driven enhancements in the areas of ease of installation and efficient battery management.
The new "ambulance ready" version of the Freedom HF series of inverter chargers is available in two models: a 1,000W model with a 55A multi-stage charger for large battery banks and an 1,800W unit with a 40A charger for applications requiring more AC Power.
These new units include pre-wired DC cables with Anderson Connectors and a pre-wired AC shorepower cable and plug for simple installation and "drop-in" replacement. Ambulance ready Freedom HF inverter chargers are also equipped with a 12V ignition lock-out feature that disables the inverter if the ignition is off to help prevent flat batteries. Finally, these units feature an ignition-controlled 12 Vdc power module fused for 20A to support DC receptacles and other loads within the coach. All models meet UL458, KKK-A-1822 and FCC, Class B standards.
