(PSI), is the latest dealership to sign on for Thales Communications, Inc. of Clarksburg, MD, and their Liberty™ Multiband Land Mobile Radio (LMR). The Liberty Radio is a software-defined, portable LMR that enables emergency responders to communicate with partner agencies, regardless of radio frequency band. It enables multi-agency communications in all of the public safety frequency bands—136-174, 380-520, 700 and 800 MHz—and operates in Project 25 (P25) conventional, P25 trunked, and legacy analog modes with DES, AES and OTAR. The radio is both J/F-12 and intrinsic safe certified. It has a MILSPEC metal housing and is submersible to two meters. Very importantly, it is easy to use, easy to train and quick to deploy.
