‘20/20’ will Feature Acadian Response to Southeast Texas Accident

Reporter John Quinones traveled to Southeast Texas to interview first responders about a 140-vehicle accident on Thanksgiving Day.


February 14, 2013-An upcoming report on ABC’s 20/20 news program will include Acadian Ambulance Service’s response to the 140-vehicle accident on Thanksgiving Day in Southeast Texas. The story tentatively is scheduled to air in late February.

Reporter John Quinones traveled to Southeast Texas to interview some of the dozens of first responders on the scene. Operations Manager Brandon Hebert and paramedic Lisa Koger represented Acadian; in addition to questions about the accident and Acadian’s role, they were asked about the lessons that can be learned from events of this magnitude.

Other participants at the 20/20 interview included representatives from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the Hamshire Volunteer Fire Department. Several Good Samaritans who assisted with the response also will be interviewed.

In December, Acadian’s Southeast Texas operations team honored David Perryman of Houston with an Outstanding Samaritan award for his work on the scene.
