Press Release Apr 19, 2012

Coatesville, PA (theEMSstore.com) April 18, 2012: theEMSstore.com can update your burn care products with the first real change to Hydro-Gels in over 20 years. As proud distributors of the third generation of Hydro-Gels with Aloe Vera by Cool Blaze, theEMSstore.com now has 11 new Cool Blaze products available.

Tea-tree oil and water based gels made up the first generation of burn treatment Hydro-Gels back in the 80s. The second generation came about with the advancement of Open-Cell Foam dressings. Today the third generation of Hydro-Gels features Aloe Vera. Cool Blaze has completely re-worked the gel formula maintaining the water base and wetting agents while adding viscosity to allow the gel stay on the wound. Tea tree oil has been replaced by natural plant extract Aloe Vera Gel. This new formula gel is clear and see-through, allowing for easy wound assessment. In addition this new formula is completely odorless. From single-dose burn gel pouches to large, industrial-size restaurant burn kits, Cool Blaze products are sized to meet various needs and environments.

The blankets can also be thrown over a burning area to extinguish the fire. The blankets can be wrapped around a person whose clothes are burning. The gel in the blankets will instantly extinguish the flames while at the same time wetting the fuel (the clothes) and keep them from re-igniting.

Cool Blaze Fire Blankets are made of a pure virgin wool, woven with a unique interlinking cell construction. This special construction in conjunction with the wool fiber, allows the blanket to hold up to 14 times its weight of the Cool Blaze Gel. Blankets come in two sizes; small blanket is 3’ x 2.5’ and the medium blanket measures 6’ x 5’.

Cool Blaze Sterile Burn Dressing: Cool Blaze Sterile Burn Dressings with Aloe Vera are designed for first aid use on all types of burn injuries. They efficiently cover the burned area and yet are elastic enough to accommodate possible swelling or the need to flex joints. A single application of this dressing is an effective first-aid measure on burns. The foam’s high absorption capabilities allow complete delivery of the gel to the burn site. These Cool Blaze dressings are non-adherent and the inert foam base will not shed threads, strands, fibers, etc., that might become imbedded in the wound, making debridement a much easier process.

Cool Blaze Burn Gel with Aloe Vera: The Gel is 95% de-ionized ultra-pure water and contains no Lidocaine or Benzocaine. It is up to 30% thicker than older products. Available in two bottle sizes; 2oz. (48/Case) or 4oz. (24/Case) - sold individually or in case quantities. This gel is also available in single dose pouches – each contains 1/8 oz or 3.5gm of gel. Available as single pouches, 6 packs/box, or 25 packs/box.
