EMCOOLS Flex.Pad is a non-invasive surface cooling system designed for therapeutic hypothermia treatment in the prehospital and in-hospital setting.
The innovative HypoCarbon®-technology guarantees highly efficient cooling rates. The cooling pads are non invasive and take only two minutes to apply to the patient's body. The cooling system requires no external power supply during the cooling process. Hence, the EMCOOLS cooling technology allows for the cooling therapy to be started immediately after ROSC and followed through to intensive care.
This vest has all the qualities of our basic Cool Medics Vest, as well as being flame resistant. Unlike other flame resistant fabrics with limited flame retardant expectancy, this flame resistency will not wear off with washing. Our Cool Medics fire resistant products are manufactured from 100% 7-ounce flame resistant fabric that is guaranteed for the life of the garment. This fabric has met federal test method 191 and standard test method 5903, and meets NFPA70E Category 2.
The Turley Backboard Pad was created by veteran field paramedic Amy Turley out of compassion and need. It is a reusable, multi-purpose, multi-use gel pad that can be heated and cooled according to the patient's need. Use cold for induced theraputic hypothermia, heat stroke, splinting, cardiac and spinal injury patients. Use heated for patient comfort, hypothermia, to prevent heat loss and prevent the Trauma Triad of Death. The Turley Backboard Pad fits on any backboard or immobilization device. Decon after each use, and use again and again for years.
The I.V. Evaporative cooling system (IVECS)™ was developed by Tactical Medical Solutions to prevent I.V. fluids from reaching excessively hot and potentially dangerous temperatures. Studies have shown that excessively hot I.V. fluids can cause tissue damage and hemolysis. Hot fluids are also counterproductive when treating heat casualties. When operating in a desert or any low humidity, hot environment, this becomes a very serious concern. Recent tests have shown that the IVECS can maintain fluids at safe temperatures for up to 18 hours in extreme heat without any additional cooling assistance or power supply. The IVECS provides a cost effective, reusable and simple means of increasing the quality of patient care in a prehospital or combat environment.
First responders no longer have to worry about pumping room temperature liquids into trauma victims. Using the very same resistive wire technology as in the blanket warmer, Check HealthCare developed an IV warmer bag at the request of many customers.
Rapid cooling means immediate neuroprotection and therefore early protection against brain damage as oxygen consumption in the brain is reduced. Neurological secondary damage and the loss of brain cells are reduced at the same time which results in a better outcome for the patient.
The Excel Cryo™ is a device that lowers the temperature of the brain and can be applied immediately at the onset of neurologic injury. Induces mild therapeutic hypothermia selectively to the brain for patients suffering cardiac arrest, stroke or traumatic brain injury. Applied at incident in prehospital settings and continued through to the ICU.
EMS Innovations has developed a portable system for use in non-invasive rapid therapeutic cooling and preservation cooling. The ICE
ENGEL USA is proud to offer a new, compact constant temperature model which has been developed specifically for saline storage for therapeutic hypothermic induction. Unlike thermoelectric powered coolers, Engel will hold a steady temperature regardless of outside environmental conditions. The ENGEL EMS model features our new 'F' series compressor, which is quieter and runs longer. It can store up to 6 saline IV solutions and a small drug bag. Featuring a temperature range of 5°F to 113°F, it automatically heats in winter, and cools in summer, to maintain the set temperature. When lives are on the line there should be no doubt whether your equipment is operating properly — that's why ENGEL, now 45 years old, proudly stands by its products and offers a TWO year warranty.
Portable AC/DC fridge-freezer for storing rehab liquids for gel packs for cool vests. Compressor powered. Thermostatically controlled. Automatically switches between AC and DC power. Temp range from 45 degrees to below 0 degrees F.
