M1635FR Fire Resistant Vest

M1635FR Fire Resistant Vest Product Image

This vest has all the qualities of our basic Cool Medics Vest, as well as being flame resistant. Unlike other flame resistant fabrics with limited flame retardant expectancy, this flame resistency will not wear off with washing. Our Cool Medics fire resistant products are manufactured from 100% 7-ounce flame resistant fabric that is guaranteed for the life of the garment. This fabric has met federal test method 191 and standard test method 5903, and meets NFPA70E Category 2.

This vest has a custom zipper that opens from both the top and the bottom ends, and an open neckline. Front and back lengths are equal to ensure maximum cooling. Features adjustable back tabs of heavy elastic with Velcro hook and loop closures. Even though our products are flame resistant, be very careful when wearing our products in close proximity to areas with potential for arc flashes and open fire.

IVECS - I.V. Evaporative Cooling System

Product From PerSys Medical

The I.V. Evaporative cooling system (IVECS)™ was developed by Tactical Medical Solutions to prevent I.V. fluids from reaching excessively hot and potentially dangerous temperatures. Studies have shown that excessively hot I.V. fluids can cause tissue damage and hemolysis. Hot fluids are also counterproductive when treating heat casualties. When operating in a desert or any low humidity, hot environment, this becomes a very serious concern. Recent tests have shown that the IVECS can maintain fluids at safe temperatures for up to 18 hours in extreme heat without any additional cooling assistance or power supply. The IVECS provides a cost effective, reusable and simple means of increasing the quality of patient care in a prehospital or combat environment.

IV Warmer Bag

Product From Check Corporation

First responders no longer have to worry about pumping room temperature liquids into trauma victims. Using the very same resistive wire technology as in the blanket warmer, Check HealthCare developed an IV warmer bag at the request of many customers.

Cooling Cap

Product From VBM Medical Inc.

Rapid cooling means immediate neuroprotection and therefore early protection against brain damage as oxygen consumption in the brain is reduced. Neurological secondary damage and the loss of brain cells are reduced at the same time which results in a better outcome for the patient.

Excel Cryo Cooling Systemâ„¢

Product From Cryothermic Systems, Inc.

The Excel Cryo is a device that lowers the temperature of the brain and can be applied immediately at the onset of neurologic injury. Induces mild therapeutic hypothermia selectively to the brain for patients suffering cardiac arrest, stroke or traumatic brain injury. Applied at incident in prehospital settings and continued through to the ICU.
