EMS Likely to Be One of the Largest Users of the FirstNet Network
The network system is going to provide better internet access for medical instruments requiring connectivity, especially in rural areas.
“This is amazing what the network is going to provide to emergency medical services in the nation. Things that we only dreamed about five years ago will be possible when this system is up and running.” Paul Patrick, EMS Director at the Utah Department of Health says that emergency medical providers are likely to be the largest users of the FirstNet nationwide network. He notes that FirstNet will be the solution to giving emergency medical providers the tools that they need to help patients faster and to get them to the right facilities faster.
