EMS World Honored With Folio: Eddie Award

NEW YORK, NY (November 11, 2019)—EMS World was named a winner in the Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards, an annual awards program spanning all corners of the magazine publishing industry that recognizes the best in editorial and design.

EMS World was named a winner in the B2B—Healthcare/Medical/Nursing category for its July 2018 magazine issue.

The program is “the most comprehensive and prestigious awards program of its kind in the industry,” according to Folio:. “The prestigious recognition is the most inclusive awards program in the publishing community, benchmarking excellence in editorial and design.”

"The editorial and art teams at EMS World have worked hard to bring timely and important EMS stories to readers, and this award from Folio: is one that reflects that hard work," said EMS World Senior Editorial and Program Director Hilary Gates, NRP, MAEd. "Throughout the journal production process, the writers, editors and designers have focused deeply on collaboration to present a graphically-pleasing publication that best serves this essential editorial content."

A panel of more than 300 judges narrowed more than 2,000 entries into a pool of roughly 1,100 finalists. In total, 378 awards were given out across 54 categories.

Winners include "gorgeous designs and uncompromising journalism" from companies such as AARP, ESPN The Magazine, Harvard Business Review, Variety and more, according to Folio:. Winners and honorable mentions were celebrated at an evening gala Oct. 30, 2019, during The Folio: Show at the Hilton Midtown in New York City.
