Tex. Paramedics Hospitalized After Collision With Truck

The Dallas Morning News

A Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance and a truck crashed Sunday night near Deep Ellum, sending the truck driver, two medics and an intern to the hospital.

The ambulance and the truck collided about 6 p.m. at First and Exposition avenues, near Canton Street.
The ambulance had been headed to a hospital with a patient the medics had just picked up, so officials sent another ambulance to take the patient from the scene of the crash, Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The medics and the intern were hospitalized as a precaution but are expected to be OK, Evans said.
Officials didn't release details about what led to the crash.
