EMS World Top Innovation Award Submission
Stroke, STEMI, trauma, sepsis, and burns are time-sensitive acute care medical issues that demand improved outcomes. GD’s new e-Bridge™ WorkFLOW mobile telemedicine app is a technology breakthrough that makes this possible.
e-Bridge™ WorkFLOW is an extension of the already Simply Powerful™ e-Bridge™ Mobile Telemedicine app. It is a highly configurable and affordable acute care workflow case management platform that enables consistency and process improvement through enhanced information and data communications between emergency medical services and hospital teams. e-Bridge™ WorkFLOW provides comprehensive patient workflow management from first medical contact by EMS through every stage of acute care—from geo-tracked patient transit to emergency department handoff, to specialty physician teams, to labs and imaging, through to intervention by specialists. It even facilitates follow-up outcomes back to EMS.
e-Bridge™ is a highly intuitive and very easy-to-use mobile application that permits EMS and hospital staff to manage the complete patient acute care lifecycle from their mobile device. This includes the sharing of patient information, photos, video clips, vitals, credentials capture, medical direction, notifications, group chat and much, much more. In fact, e-Bridge™ WorkFLOW is the first workflow management solution of its kind that includes live two-way video conferencing telemedicine. Since all data and events are time stamped and stored for review and process benchmarking, both emergency departments and EMS organizations can continue to improve their processes and workflows by reviewing and analyzing past interactions to identify quality and process improvement opportunities.
e-Bridge™ is available for Apple iOS, Android and Windows PC. It is FDA listed, and highly configurable, allowing users to work the way they need to for their organization and protocols while instilling consistent processes across teams. Overall, e-Bridge™ WorkFLOW is designed to streamline acute care case management, introduce team efficiencies, LEAN process, exceed benchmarks, reduce risk and cost. All while enabling better patient outcomes. Workflow can serve as a standalone application, or can be integrated seamlessly with GD’s CAREpoint EMS workstation.
