Fla. Man Meets Paramedics Who Saved His Life

PRESS RELEASE

On Wednesday, May 22, Elijah Alexander, of Clearwater, Florida, met the first responders who helped save his life. Alexander was driving his motorcycle through the intersection of Gulf to Bay Boulevard and Belcher Road – one of Pinellas County’s most dangerous intersections – on May 1, 2018 when he was hit by a car that ran a red light.

Sunstar Paramedics, the 911 provider for Pinellas County, and Clearwater Fire and Rescue quickly arrived at the accident scene, stabilized him and transported him to Bayfront Hospital. He underwent face, hands and wrist surgery, and spent 24 days recovering at the hospital before being transferred to a rehabilitation center for six months.

Alexander has successfully recovered and wanted to thank the first responders for providing life-saving response.
