July 31—ImageTrend, Inc. has announced the winners of the Poster Session from ImageTrend Connect 2019. Participants demonstrated what they are doing to make an impact within their community using original research, interventions, data analysis, new programs or calls to action. Posters were available throughout the conference as a process sharing and ideating opportunity for all attendees, and each were presented during the conference's Hooley Short session, which focuses on brief presentations of ideas or initiatives from attendees. A panel of judges took on the duty of awarding the top three. The winners are:
Breaking Free from the Restraints: Transforming Colorado’s EMS Response to Behavioral Health Crisis, represented by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Authored by Amber Viitanen & co-authors.
Leveraging Emergency Medical Service Data to Inform Pre-Hospital Hemorrhage Control Practice and Policy, represented by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Authored by Eric Anderson.
An Investigation of Perceived Barriers to Electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) Reporting by EMS Transport Provider Agencies to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), represented by the CDC Foundation and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Authored by Adrienne Lefevre & co-authors.
“The research presented was phenomenal, interesting and necessary in order to advance our industries,” said Morgan Anderson, epidemiologist at ImageTrend. “Their contributions make an impact in our communities and highlights the important work that is being doing by emergency responders every day.”
The poster session is one of the many networking and educational events of ImageTrend Connect, which occurred July 24-26 in 2019. The conference attracts attendees from across the country for three days of education, networking and discussion around the use of data.
