AMR Reunites Families on Christmas Day

American Medical Response (AMR) is bringing its popular “Home for the Holidays” program to LaGrange. The ambulance company offers the service throughout the country, and recently implemented the free program in Georgia. Home for the Holidays provides transportation to wheelchair and bed-bound seniors living in assisted living centers and nursing facilities so they can spend quality time during the Christmas holiday with their families at no charge.

“We’re pleased to offer this special service as our gift to the community,” said Wilmond Meadows, Community & Government Relations Manager for AMR. “The recipient of the 2019 Christmas holiday transport is Mrs. Francis Watkins.”

AMR will pick up Mrs. Watkins at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day, Wednesday December 25, 2019, from the Florence Hand Healthcare Facility, located at 207 Lakeshore Way, LaGrange, Georgia 30240. She’ll spend time with her family before returning to the healthcare facility at 3 p.m.
