HealthEast Paramedic Wins National “Star of Life” Award
Eden Prairie resident Lyle Stoll, a paramedic at HealthEast Medical Transportation, was recently honored with the American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life Award, which celebrates ambulance service professionals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to their communities.
“Lyle has been a dedicated steward to the practice of emergency medicine over his 36 years of service,” said Tom Edminson, director of HealthEast Medical Transportation, a part of Fairview Health Services. “While he has remained on the cutting edge of paramedicine, one thing that has not changed is Lyle’s dedication to his patients.”
As a paramedic, Stoll provides immediate medical attention at trauma and medical emergency scenes, examining, evaluating and treating patients before they arrive at the hospital. He serves nine cities throughout Dakota County, offering advanced life support care by starting intravenous fluid lines, intubating patients to maintain their airways, using cardiac monitors and defibrillators, and administering emergency medications.
Stoll also mentors fellow team members and collaborates with leadership to achieve the highest quality of care for patients.
“It is my sincere hope that by winning this award I can inspire a young person to pursue a career in health care or emergency medical services, and that they find the field as rewarding as I do,” said Stoll.
