The healthcare community continues to make impressive strides in the treatment and management of acute strokes. With the majority of patients suffering strokes outside the hospital, EMS providers are rising to the challenge of an increased responsibility to rapidly recognize and appreciate the complexities in patient signs and symptoms. EMS systems throughout the country are changing protocols and transport decisions in order to give their stroke patients the best chance of recovery. In this webinar, you will hear from one of the nation’s leading EMS medical directors, Dr. Peter Antevy, who emphasizes not only the importance of high-quality training for EMS providers but also the vital role of systems of care, stroke scales, patient registry and quality improvement among all players in the healthcare system.
