New York Firefighter Killed in Floor Collapse

One New York firefighter was killed and another injured Monday night after falling through a floor at a house fire in Newark Valley.
Owego Fire Capt. Matthew Porcari, 34, was killed, while Daniel Gavin was injured when the floor collapsed.
A medevac helicopter called to the fire was grounded due to bad weather, according to PressConnects.
The Owego Fire Department was in Newark Valley providing mutual aid.
Gavin was taken to UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City but later transfered to the burn unit at University Hospital in Syracuse.
