Cleveland Clinic Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit

Cleveland Clinic's Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit shortens the time between the onset of stroke-like symptoms and the delivery of thrombolytic drugs. This emergency room on wheels is equipped with a CT scanner, treatment for both the ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, and telemedicine linking the patient and the mobile unit to an emergency room doctor via television monitor for immediate diagnosis and treatment.
